SAY “HELLO” TO THE LUMIA 735 FROM MICROSOFT

That’s right boys and girls, said Lumia 735…from Microsoft. You should already know that Microsoft bought the Lumia copyrights and all that great business stuff. Either way, I’m here to quickly introduce you all to an affordable handset from Microsoft themselves. It starts at just $29.99 and available from Microsoft and Verizon Wireless.

A NOTE-WORTHY HANDSET BY MICROSOFT?

Based on Microsoft’s site (As of July 25, 2015 at 7:40 pm), it has an Average User Rating of 5/5 Stars (4 Reviews in Total). It seems odd how they have a 100% Positive Rating already, but we will check in on the site a week from today to see if there’s any difference. Maybe, it received the rating due to the bonus of a year of Office 365 Personal Suite being included with the handset. You just saved an additional $69.99 right there!

What’s the Big Deal?

Microsoft has a lot to own up to since they’re in control of the Lumia lineup, so what makes the Lumia 735 all that fancy? To start, they included a 5 Megapixel Front Camera that features Wide-Angle Technology at Full High-Definition Quality. Nice, nice. Of course, they pre-installed the Lumia Selfie

app to get you using the camera. The app gives you the power to capture, edit and share your selfies with the world – no charge, no fees.

As we all know, Apple and Google have voice-assistants that makes talking to our handsets a little less…awkward. Well, Microsoft announced and released Cortana for their devices. It’s included in the Lumia 735, don’t worry, so you can easily make/end a phone call, create tasks and reminders, start navigation and much more. We seen Cortana in action and was very impressed.

What makes Windows-powered devices different from iOS, Android and others; is the fact that it’s Windows Phone 8.1. So what?! Well, it’s not your traditional homepage, pages and app launcher layout like you would find in iOS and Android. Windows Phone uses a user interface that’s based on Live Tiles. These Live Tiles are applications and your Notification Panel is known as the Action Center. What’s new in Windows Phone 8.1. is the ability to change your background image (similar to a wallpaper), resize the Live Tiles (Small, Medium and Large) and so much more. Take it for a spin and tell us what you think about it.

As far as for apps, you can expect to be able to download and enjoy your favorite apps. This could be Evernote, OneDrive, Skype, Vine, Facebook, Spotify and many more. It’s up to you and your personality.

For those that don’t give two-Lumia’s about everything above and want to focus on the specifications then here you are.

  • 6.7 Megapixel Rear-Facing Camera
