EA Sports UFC HD-Quality – now get the free game on iTunes or Google Play

If you’re an avid video gamer who enjoy EA Sports then you’ll be glad to know that your favorite game can now be played on a smartphone too. According to a recent press release,

About EA Sports UFC

EA Sports UFC is a video game centered on mixed martial arts. Developed by Electronic Arts, it was released exclusively for PS4 and Xbox One in 2014. As of April 21, the game is available on Android and iOS as well. The artificial intelligence degree of the game highlights a wealth of changes in the strategies of the player. To make the experience seem as realistic as possible, the developers struggled to improve this version of UFC game. EA Sports UFC stimulates a special feature called “full body deformation”, thus linking players to their player-character and making the overall in-game experience truly memorable.

Many fans of EA Sports UFC have just expanded to newer platforms, thus boosting its popularity even more. The mobile version of the game can now be played on smartphones and tablets, too. The app only takes a few minutes to be downloaded from Google Play or iTunes. The brand new mobile version of EA Sports UFC was developed by Electronic Arts Canada in collaboration with the designing team that made the console version. As for the mobile version, the developers stated that it will feature codebase from the console edition with HD-quality graphics.

EA Sports UFC and its main functions on mobile

EA Sports UFC’s mobile version has touch controls incorporated for dodges, kicks and punches, but also a ranking system as well as in-game rewards. These rewards come in the form of unlockable fighters, among numerous other things. EA Sports UFC has over 70 fighters available, spread across 4 divisions. Among these fighters, we should mention the famous Georges-St-Pierre and Jon Jones.

The mobile version of the game experienced a rather soft release in Russia, Canada, Singapore and South Korea 2 months ago. But around the rest of the world, the response has been insane. In just a few days, more than 2 million people have already downloaded the mobile version of the game on their smartphone or tablet. EA has also reported that most players in the markets mentioned pay games for 36 minutes/day on average.

Response & expectations

In a recent statement, Dean Richards, general manager for EA Sports, mentioned that the mobile version of EA Sports UFC will raise the bar on mobile and tablet games centered on fighting. This is inevitable because more and more players want to enjoy on mobile the stellar gameplay and graphics they can have on a console. By offering on to the player exactly what he wants but on mobile, the fan base will expand and the game will become even more famous. A lot more people have smartphones than gaming consoles; so it’s safe to assume that a sports game in HD available on tablets and smartphones can offer an equally pleasing experience as the same game played on a console.

It remains to be seen how far EA Sports UFC can go. For now, we sure love it that EA has made it available for free on both Android and iOS. This gives us another reason to try it out; and considering the visuals and graphics are superb, we’re almost sure that we’ll love it. Let the fighting begin!
